The CC/PPP/CTN Fantasy League enjoyed another high scoring round, with many managers coming close to breaking the magical 100 points barrier.
The average of 3.4 goals per game during gameweek 16 was an obvious factor for the inflated totals.
The Dream Team was led by a quartet of players that picked up 16 points, the most popular of which was Chelsea’s Spanish forward Fernando Torres who netted twice and laid on an assist.
Anyone siding with Sunderland over Reading in their double-header gameweek would have found rich pickings in midfielders James McClean and Adam Johnson, as well as defender Carlos Cuellar.
With a stellar tally of 95 points, this week’s winner is Mab Mab FC managed by Bunboren Tep, who made sure to have three Sunderland players including Stephane Sessegnon as captain for 22 points.
Bunboren also field Fantasy League points leader Miguel Michu of Swansea and Man United’s Wayne Rooney, who scored a brace past their Sky Blue city rivals.
Bunboren Tep is rewarded with a $20 phone voucher and T-shirt from sponsors Cellcard.
The Chelsea-Southampton fixture will not be featured in gameweek 17 due to Chelsea’s appearance at the Club World Cup in Japan.
