When the new Ford showroom opened on Monivong Boulevard on Friday morning, the most distinguished guest was the great granddaughter of company founder Henry Ford, Elena A Ford.
The entourage also included Ford’s regional and local associates, all of whom were joined by the deputy.
In an exclusive interview with the Post, she took time to articulate how Ford Motor Company differs from other manufacturers of cars and why Ford had opened a new showroom on Monivong Boulevard.
“We are about strong business, great products and a better world,” Ford said.
Part of the event was the unveiling of the new Ford Taurus and the use of the remote start feature that enables the air conditioning.
“We’re a thoughtful company and the market needs that. In the US the remote start is mainly for heating. We make it attainable,” she said.
“People outside of Asia don’t have any idea how phenomenal Cambodia is and how important Cambodia is from a business standpoint for Ford to put a footprint here.
“We do business through our dealers and RMA is the face of the customer for Ford and this is one of the most fabulous facilities I’ve ever seen,” she said.
